The Sapphire Coast Turf Club is the place to be on Sunday, June 10, for a day of exhilarating racing action with roving jazz musos on course contributing to the weekend's festival atmosphere.

The 8-race TAB meeting is part of the Saddle-up Sundays promotion being run by Racing NSW to highlight the best of country racing.

It features the $12,000 Robert Smith Complete Furnishers Merimbula Jazz Festival Cup, an Open Handicap over 1200 metres.

Gates will open at 11am with the first race at 12.10pm.

Free buses will run to the course from Eden, Pambula, Merimbula, Tura Beach, Bega and Tathra, returning after the last race.

For the kids "The Great Zamboni" will be performing his great magic show on race day.

 Sapphire Coast Turf Club is located on a picturesque 300 acre site on Sapphire Coast Drive at Kalaru, between Merimbula and Bega and Tathra. It is one of the newest and most modern country racecourses in NSW with great spectator facilities. Patrons can enjoy an unobstructed view of the racing action from most parts of the course including the Members Reserve and Function Centre and from the large, banked lawn areas.

We hold nine race meetings during the season with jockeys and trainers coming from all over south eastern NSW and East Gippsland to compete.

Our new facilities include a Function Centre which is perfect for weddings as well as race day functions. The course offers visitors and members a variety of services including
